The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Rob, your pictures are not bad either, they are also really impressive! Especially you are already further on sea plane Airport and the waterfront at this section.

Also applies to all other! Quite impressive, thank you for sharing your great photos.

And some for the Canadian "Train" Thread.

@escd84
WOW! Vancouver is coming along nicely!
Thanks for posting those great screen shots.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm working on a few more seaplanes to add some variety. Vulcan is working on something for me that you'll no doubt find useful. More later.

Rob and escd84, you are both doing a great job with Vancouver. My wife and I walked all over the waterfront area a few years back. Amazing what you guys are doing.

This one of mine is a couple of miles west of Bradwell. You can see the last grain elevator still standing. I've yet to do the town and farther east. Working on the west end of the route.

Cheers,
Jack

@escd84
Looks like there are lots of afternoon commuters waiting for the Westcoast Express. Either it's a busy day or the train is late. :hehe:
Great shots. Well done.

Very nice work escd84. Looking at them is almost like being there.

Here's a shot facing east on the outskirts of Kinley at around MP 222 of the CN Watrous sub which is what I'm working on. It's 247.3 miles in length from Melville, Saskatchewan west to Biggar. This is not going to be done anytime soon but working at getting the stretch from Watrous to Biggar done. That's 118 miles and will keep me busy for quite some time. It's mostly mainline running with some branches to service potash mines and grain terminals. There is some intermodal traffic in and out of Saskatoon which also has a car/diesel shop. And that's the basics.

Cheers,
Jack

Thanks for the kind words @ Rob, Jack and Scratchy! Also for the information about your route Jack. Reads itself exciting! Looking forward for more pictures in the future of it.

What is this route of Vancouver and where can I find it? I just can't help myself that this route is simply fantastic and I don't even have it. :(

Real nice winter shots Scratchy. The first shot reminds of a place near Hinton, Alberta where you can sit and look down on the mainline just like that.

Your shots of Vancouver are very life-like escd84. Really terrific work!

Heading east past Kinley and another elevator with the tracks pulled up.

Cheers everyone,
Jack

No, they are used for about ever kind of train, they are just really rare, much like DMIR or BLE SD40T-3s, I am still waiting for the day DMIR #407 comes to Ontario!

That might be true, but it's even rarer to see one leading a train. Only the ratty paint SD40-2W's get that honor.

Escd84, it looks like you having been playing with the shaders in Tane. I like it. I am tempted to try Tram's settings but I would probably mess it up.

Jack

Good one sp9813. Those were always my favourite colours for CN units.

My new toys from Jointed Rail heading east. Nice job guys!

Cheers,
Jack
