The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Erik, awesome shots from you as usual. That's a very nice BC Rail unit on the head end!

That's some beast you're showing Rick. Aside from the great looking passenger equipment and that incredible engine, the rest of the shot is top notch too. The variety of houses is nice. You must be having a blast with all your new toys!

Dragonharh, haven't had time to look at your video yet. Will be away for the weekend but I'll get to it. It's great that you're researching that abandoned line like you are.

An older shot from me - waiting at Roskin Jct.

Have a great weekend guys!

More BCR power! Nice shots Montana. That water in the last one looks real good!
Can anyone tell where those green BC Rail units can be found? Haven't seen those in years.

Dragonharh, I watched your video. That looked like a real brutal trip! It was interesting to see the abandoned line though. I half expected to see a sasquatch come of the woods. Thanks for sharing that and glad you didn't fall off of the bridge!

Cheers,
Jack

played for 5 minutes with the water rgb but spend most time the last days to clean up repair TS12 and other assets that need attention almost done.
TANE in one word is rocking already.

Nice shot again Montana, Roy, Rick, Jack and all others. Here is my participation. Still changing my Pofig trees with bilboard trees in ts 2012 to import it in Tane. When job is done I will then start replacing these BB trees with new speedtrees. This shot is in T:ANE with ALL sliders max.

Morning Pete; You and Roy have been showing us your great work in the new version. Believe me, I respect both of you as tremendous route builders! I know about the trees, I know some stuff just is not ready for the new version. You are both working very hard to bring quality routes into the new version. You know my feelings about the new version and why I most likely will never use it. I've seen your work, Roy's, today's from Montana, all the stuff from Erik lately, and everyone else in here .... in TS12. Beautiful, stunning shots in TS12. For me, just me, I see no reason to move forward. Someday, with lots of learning I hope I will have a route that looks as good as what I've seen you all produce ... in TS12.

You are doing well Pete! It's a lot of work and knowing your attention to the smallest detail, it will be nice to watch your work in the new version.

Cheers .... Rick
You're not the only one holding out Rick, I don't plan on upgrading until I see better screenshots and better things are said about it. It looks to me though as a rushed out product.... And as being somebody that has killed money a couple times before on a rushed out product, I know these games have limited capabilities, are worse off than the previous version of the game. I may very well be holding out until TANE 2 comes out, even if they do kill support for 12. They can take DLS uploads away, but they can't take 3rd party sites away.

@Rick,Pete all,

When I talk about route not ready yet, means the route is ready but the (fine) 3rd party assets coming from old old versions built way back to version 1.5 can you believe it. That is what the bulk of work is one has to address to make things work.
Until now we were flying a Cessna and the amount of switches, knobs, sliders, bells and whistles were rather limited when we compare to the spacex TANE cockpit we have a wide wide range of settings we now can ( and have to) address to make things look even better so the potential is there just we not ready yet.
Funny all the time people complain they not have the means to now they have they still not see the overal picture is bright and sunny.
Learning by doing and can assure all of you things look much much better once we know how to and have time to touch all sliders and see how they react and go forward step by step and get excited again.:hehe::cool:

image above shows good details overal the speedtrees i think are top they only need more tuning on look and feel at a certain distant but that is a learning curve and spend time to do it.

Absolutely stunning shots Rail4pete! I don't care what anybody else says, that definitely doesn't look like trainz12! I cannot wait to get TANE running on my PC, but in the mean time please show some more shots!

Wow! Sure a lot of great shots in past couple of days.
Your E-10-a sure does look good Rick! K&L did a real fine job there. Although I have to say I think they've done a real fine job on all their stuff!
Pierre, great work in Tane from you! I really like the night shots.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I sure did.

Cheers,
Jack

Looks good Pete! I'm hoping to get the CNR 4-6-0 done next, hope I'm not wearing Steve out! I think he enjoys doing them. Pete, I'm not trying to be smart in anyway. I notice the photos are similar, the bottom one lighter. Is it a different time or are you showing us how the lighting features work in the new version? Just curious!

Cheers .... Rick
Both of them have been reworked with pain.net. All I did is selecting the far/distant end area to make it B&W as in real life at night and keep colors within the headlight covering area. As you say I made them as if they were taken at different time.

In a scene similar to the E10a's typical assignments from 1910-1960, #89 leads a 5 car train through the rolling hills and farmland:
