The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Thanks for the info on the house Rick. There are some towns I'll be doing where they will fit in perfectly.

Pierre, I hope putting your route into Tane is not giving you too many headaches. Your screenshot looks good. I like how the road goes up and down the hills into the distance.
I'm planning to wait until I get the disk version.

Cheers everyone,
Jack

Great shots all arround, I'm excited to see how that route will turn out in TANE in the end there Pete. Rick, if you don't mind me asking, do you have any good reccomendations when it comes to stacks of cut logs, ive seen them behind those barns on your route, and I could use a few behind houses/barns on many of my routes.

Awesome shots guys,@Rick I'm lv'n the detail your putting in your farm scenes, looks like a power of fun to create.

Hi Rick

Thank you for your kind introduction of the word 'Dang'. The reason for my interest of this word is that this word is also a word in Pinyin(About Pinyin see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin). And some Chinese people's last name is 'Dang' too, so when I first see this word I was confused because my last name is not 'Dang':hehe:.

I am just a college student in school and my major subject is engineering, I have to say that the Trainz helps to improve my English a lot.

Cheers
Felix

Hay guys I been working on this place 2 miles out side of Kentville it was the last orprateing industry after DAR was taken over by WHRC in 1992 I think this was also the end of the line for WHRC it however its stell used today by trucks saddy.

A lot of great shots here. Kingstonflyer, that river looks amazing! And everything else in those two shots looks pretty sweet too!

Rick has his usual terrific shots. Always learning something from you, man. Woodpiles inside buildings, burning mattresses - I love it!

Drangonharh has some good stuff happening in Tane from the look of it.

And CN meets VIA - nice!

Below, CP pulls through the city.

Well, the big thing with bringing the route in T:ANE is the 3d trees. As I used Pofig's trees, they do not appear in T:ANE and are not supported. So that mean I have to replace all of them with bilboard tree then, in T:ANE replace them again with 3d tree which are, for the builtin ones, ugly. Also, in the shot I posted above, I did not reset the color (read that yesterday) so now I did and it looks better. Still have difficulty to set a proper water color.

About cut wood, I use one which is nice (see screenshot with proper kuid #) but I don't know where I got it from. The kuid index tells me it comes from Trainz Italia ( http://www.trainzkuidindex.com/). If you cannot find it, send me a PM with your email and if I'm allowed to send it to you I'll do (will dig this out tonight)

About the spilt wood pile I'M showing in previous post, the license says in Italian: "Qualsiasi modifica od uso diverso da Trainz deve essere concordato con l'autore."

So, even with Google translate I'm not sure if I'm allowed to send it to you or not. I feel more like it says it is OK but not sure. If someone can clear this out for me....
Cheers
Rail4Pete

P.S. wood fuel by pencil42 and woodstack 1 by slugsmasher could be used as alternative.

Looking good Rick! Sorry I haven't been around all that much, busyness has had me shy away from trainz, but I got meh a new Trainz PC, so I'm looking to resume doing what I did before which is screenshots, videos and other fun stuff.

So, I've been working on a VIA Rail Project lately and thought, what would be a better place to debut it than the Canadian Thread of the Auran Forums.

So, I present... (Drumroll please)

The VIA F40PH-2D!

It's not completely done but, Let me know if there is still things to be added, i.e. the winterization hatch etc.

Wow - very cool! Maybe it's just not done yet, but will there be brake hoses as well?
Was there anything else included in your Via Rail project? Looks great - keep up the great work!!

In an Ideal world, yes. I will try / am trying to make it as accurate as possible, just not enough close up photos on Google (Of the Renaissance Scheme).

*I am also looking for some help with texture mapping and model exporting, if anyone wants to help*

The other thing(s) in my VIA Project list are going to be
-LRC Set
-More Budd Coaches
-VIA FP9s

And whatever else people request.

Awesome - I for one will be grateful for anything you come up with! I've always been in awe of people that can make things from meshes, etc!!! That's way beyond my skill-set!
lol

If you need pics of VIAs stuff I can get something worked out and get pics you wont find online. I sent you a PM along with some pics that will help.
