Hi Canucks...
Strongly recommended is what Bob-alias trackplate is doing...all what I saw in the beta is stunning work and a real improvement of my 2003 released route...stay tuned !!
the locomotive is not CPR. it is actually CPRR, or Central Pacific Railroad

Canada forever!

Here's an image I took of all my favourite Canadian Trainz. I used this in my sig, only way too small to see, so ya's should see it too:

Here's another shot.

VIA Rail has gone crazy! It is now using their F40PHs to haul grain using BN hoppers over Marias Pass...I guess no more passenger service now. :hehe:

Crazy, man, just crazy.

EDIT: While we are on the VIA Rail Rant, here's more shots

Trying to keep this thread alive...:'(

Went up to Mapleton Yard today to see what was going on, and saw two MP15AC switchers waiting as a CP Rail SD40 was pulling in some boxcars.

We then got told by some yard workers to stop tresspassing and to Railfan past the fence, without using cameras :n:...I hate agressive workers.

We decided to take our helicopter which was not too far from where we were...we got these cool shots...

Lastly, we took the copter and followed the SD40...and got these last shots...

Thats it for now, so long  ;)

Some nice shots here, although I don't think VIA would ever haul BN freight hoppers in Marias Pass. :hehe: Indeed, quite crazy! I don't think they'd haul superliners either but it is interesting to see what they look like hauling them!

FWIW, VIA rail did have a tilting car set, known as the LRC set. The problem was that the technology was still a bit new at the time and the cars got locked in a tilted position. They did pave the way for the Amtrak Acela though. I am hoping someone someday will build the LRC set...we'll see!

we would really need those LRC cars VIA still uses them everywhere in Ontario, behind f40ph's and genesis p42's,and i dont know when or if someone will make them. Do you know if VIA will ever get new cars?

 traincrazy

The LRC cars/engine set were being constructed by Scimitar but he seems to have vanished from the forums completely. I guess we will have to wait until someone else makes them. I have several .pdf's of the cars and engine but no talent or time whatsoever in gmax...

Even though the cars are older, dirtier and dilapidated, I'm not much of a fan of the mk3's. I know VIA is rehabilitating some of the older stainless steels...they look good and are comfy too. =)

Hmmm,

gisa, can you tell me where I can get the CEFX 1012? I asked a question about it on the last page...got no actual help. :'(

No problem, check your PM's.

Keep up the great shots guys. I've been too busy with work to do anything in trainz but maybe I'll get around to posting a shot or two this weekend.

BTW, commission has two m's, not one ;)

VIA has new cars called the "Renaissance" series.
