That was fun - TS2009

Getting Older :)
Hi all,

I was not sure where to put this, so I picked here :hehe:

Just playing around in 2009 (Beta) and did something that was quite funny. Start a new layout or use one in Surveyor. If your starting a new one, place some track/anything anywhere any length etc. Then while holding down Ctrl-Alt and type in WALK, the command we used in 2004 etc, to walk around a layout.

You will notice that the tabs on the right disappear and your not in our old "walk" mode to walk around the layout/baseboard, nothing else seems to have changed. Now place you cursor anywhere and hit your left hand mouse button and see what happens. Try it on any part of the baseboard or where some track/road/building/tree (whatever) is, its good fun :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

To exit, hit your "Esc" key.

alt + u
alt + y

Those are 'fly' and 'walk' :)

ctrl + alt + 'a' is the replacement for alt smite in TC1/2/3 and TS2009.

seeseeme, I would try that but trs 09 will not load, been trying for two days ,am getting emails back from helpdesk. Trainzoptions screen keeps popping up whenever I try to start. Oh well ,hopefully Alan will figure it ou5t.

Greywolf - if it keeps poppoing up then it is likely you are entering an incorrect serial number. Have you tried copy and past from your Beta email?

Alt+WALK does what ALT+Smite did in either 2006 or 2004

It is a Smite on the earth by above :D

That was fun!
Notice that if there is track at the location, the effect is more dramatic!
Never tried the WALK command in TS2006.

:hehe: yeah it was a great effect and fun, I destroyed a whole town :hehe:

From Zec's post it would seem that we only need to use Ctrl + Alt + a. As "A" is in the word "walk" then that is why it works ...... I think :hehe:
