Vulcan. The aircraft are terrific. Being a R/C modeller means I can Fly in trains. I can assure you, there will be lots of aircraft flying around in my layouts. Murchison with all those mountains Hmmmmm.

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=50753Thanks Baz,

Your comments are appreciated. As you see I try to do something different. Trainz is not a flight simulator, but the aircraft extend the boundaries, that is how things progress, and hopefully more come to appreciate just how much is offered in Trainz.

The aircraft screenshot was started before I had released many aircraft, and now has a lot of details on how to use the aircraft. Instead of starting a new thread on releases in the freeware section, that is where I will place any update news.

Status of Danish Ferry D. Margrethe II

Ian;

I am experimenting with your car ferries and note the reference to the subject ferry on your projects web site. I am working on a trainz simulation of a Lakie Michigan, USA, port which in the past supported large car ferry operations. Your description of the ferry D.M. indicates 4 tracks, which would be appropriate. Do you intend to or did you complete this project?

Also; I am trying to use the Ferry Odin but cannot succesfully attach lead tracks to the overlapping deck tracks at the stern end. Do you know of a route I can reference?

Like other Trainz fans, I am amazed at your work and enjoy flying your helicopters.

Irving,

The Dronning Margrethe was made for a Danish friend, I did finish it but perhaps he did not get back to me to say that it was completed to his specifications. I must have forgotten to upload it. There are only three tracks on the deck, it would be hard to fit any more.

For the Odin, to connect track you need to select the track to use, click on the ground away from the ferry, move the mouse towards the ferry then look vertically down on the rotating circles. Click on one of them when the track circle is directly over the circle of the ferry track.

I have just tries the DM and downloaded the Odin models again, they work in TS2009, but the Odins shows some missing texture errors, textures not required by the model.

I don't know any routes that have used the ferries.

One user is having trouble with the transfer table barges in TS2010, after starting to move, it locks up for say 10 seconds, then jumps to the far bank. We think it is a bug in TS2010, and have sent models to Auran for examination, but have heard nothing from them so far.

Working with the DM Ferry.

Ian; I have been experimenting with The DM ferry and have succeded in attaching the 3 lead rails but in the opposite way to what you suggested. By clicking first on the ferry spline point and draging toward the ground I found that the track height locks correctly to the ferry tracks. Doing it as you suggested above, the ground track is placed higher then the ferry track.

Regarding the problem of the action stoping and the ferry jumping after some delay; I found this seems to occur if the last car loaded is to close to the stern of the ferry (or trigger point for the turntable). This is true for both clicking or using the Move Ferry command. Some times the progam stops running in this case as well. How clsose is to close? I am experimenting to find out using some 40 foot cars as handles to push the the load aboard. The same is true if the pusher engine and cars are not with drawn a significant distance from the ferry before the command is used.

I will post my findings here soon.

Also; When configuring the Input Table Rule, I found that the ferry name should not have space characters. In your oil platform examples you used an underscore, which on the screen and print outs look like a space.
