I also asked a question about the boxed version in the QA thread. I am would like to know if there will be a "gold" (deluxe?) DVD release. I got no answer, but I'm not sure what to make of that.

Tony answered this question in another thread. There will be a boxed set for physical distribution but they will not be making any decisions on that until after the official release date.
