heres a video of what im talking about...

thx

i get that sometimes too, mostly when i try to create routes or editing one that has little assets which happens cause my computer has been on for a little too long.

Looked to me like maybe your graphics card settings are too high, (which seems odd for an empty route) or something else is causing a low framerate in Surveyor and thus when you move around it updates very slowly.

Another thing I could think of that might cause something like that to happen would be using the default VGA driver, that can have trouble enough updating the screen in 2D let alone 3D. (Though I wouldn't think it Trainz would run using that driver.)

Edit: What kind of hardware are you trying to run Trainz on anyways?

I notice after the end of the Surveyor session that your mouse jumps around a little on the desktop. Was that you moving it, or was it moving on it's own? If you weren't moving it, then your video card appears to be recovering from some sort of driver problem. Are your video card drivers up to date?

i was mving it.
and when i first installed the game the trainz diagnostic tool said that my video drivers age was older than 6.14.10.6869 and it had a warning next to it.

what do i do?

Well, first of all you need to tell us what video card you are using. That would help us to give further advice. The version of the driver you have now appears to make it an NVIDIA card.

If it is indeed an NVIDIA card, then you need to visit the NVIDIA site and put your video card in the search box so that it can determine which driver installation executable for you to download. Then, install it.

EDIT: You also need to tell us which Operating System you have (the NVIDIA site will also ask this) and which version of Trainz.

Further edit: For Vista Home Premium, 32-bit, my NVIDIA drivers are 7.15.11.7568 on a GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Okay. An ASUS XP driver then. Here's what I've come up with:

http://www.howtodrivers.com/model6507.html

http://driverzone.com/device.php?id=3534&show_devs=a

http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/item_257946.html

I think the third one will give the best results for Windows XP.

BUT, be sure that the driver matches your card appropriately - the Google searchI entered was "ASUS x1550 drivers" and the first three I listed. One of them may be a Vista driver so be sure to check.

The last one also has a scanner that will identify your exact driver needs. I'd use that.
