Surveyor 2.0 delete an item from picklist ( the delete function is greyed out)

How do I delete an item from my picklist

There is a known bug in the Assets Palette that greys out the "Remove from Picklist" option. However you can delete them from either:-
  • The Filter Palette - select the Picklist, open the toggle list, right click the asset to be deleted and select "Remove from Picklist"
OR
  • Content Manager - select the Picklist, right click the asset to be deleted and select "Remove from Picklist"
See the Trainz Wiki at How_to_Manage_Filters_and_Picklists#Editing_Picklists_2 for the details.

What do you do when neither of those work? Apparently you can ONLY filter by the picklist. If you do anything in either place to search/filter the picklist you can no longer remove anything from the pick list.

I just ran some tests and while the bug has still not been fixed the two alternative methods still work. A better solution might be to remove the option Remove from Picklist from the assets palette and leave it only in the Filter Palette and Content Manager where it does work.

You have to filter by the Picklist - otherwise how else would the program know which picklist an asset is to be removed from? I have 30+ picklists and many of them contain the same assets. For example: my Roads picklist has all the road splines I use together with the most commonly used road traffic signs. Another picklist, Road Signs, has all the road traffic signs that I use, some of which are duplicated in the Roads picklist (it saves having to switch back and forth between Picklists). If, in the Assets palette without any filter being applied, I select one of my road traffic signs that appears in both picklists, open its sub menu and select Remove from Picklist which Picklist will have the asset removed?
