I had an idea for the suggestion Boxcar.
It never posted and I found it under my posts with a line through it. Any idea what that means?

The suggestion forum is moderated so posts have to be approved by the mods before they appear. Most of the time when a post fails to appear it is due to it being a repeat of older posts, something the dev team has already rejected as not doable or something that is not in the plans for future improvements. In the case of color coded spline points, since Surveyor 2 is the future direction of Trainz and it removes the rotating spline points all together, that might be the reason for rejection.

Now before anyone gets the idea that this is too arbitrary, it is my observation that the mods will often bring suggestions to the attention of a member of the dev team and let them make the final decision.

Finally, remember rule 18 in the CoC:
18. Interfering with, criticizing and / or publicly commenting about moderation decisions.
It is best just to move on and forget it.

Thanks for the reply. I know nothing about S2, so if that's the case, it certainly makes sense. Although I think if someone takes the time to try and share ideas, a quick note back would be curtious and in order, but it is what it is. Note taken.
I can't even imagine learning trainz all over with S2. I most likely won't live another 20 years....lol. I've been thinking and missing my physical model rr'ing days a lot lately and considering starting another hands-on layout. If it comes to starting over, learning Trainz all over again, I'm not sure which direction I'd go. I'm assuming one day I'll need to make that desision. Right now I have a new Bachmann On30 Shay and Climax begging to come out and play

If I was a mod I would likely let people know why but I'm not so as you say it is what it is. I was also a Model Railroader back in the 70s when it was affordable. Now the prices cause sticker shock.

I still prefer to lay track in Classic but it is easier to adjust track in S2 since you can select a whole yard and move it around. I am far from being an expert but I figure out a bit here and there.

Sticker shock is right! Close to $1k on just the two engines mentioned! I have to say though, although nice plastic models are more expenive then brass was "back in the day", the detail in the new plastic out shines brass of the 70's
I have a new PC upstairs that I never even installed Trainz on yet. When life's tornato passes, and I get it set up, I'll probably go directly to '22 but I know me, and I hate change... Just ask how long it took me to put '04 to bed...lol. But now I think I saw something about '25? I think Trainz is taking lessons from cell phones...lol

I do like the idea in the original post. I'm not sure how it would work from a technical standpoint, but it would be handy.

I suggested this ages ago and I never saw anything come back. It would be nice if we got some feedback.

Seeing the different selected splines in different colors would be really helpful and maybe go one step further and assign a different color to different spline types.

Moderators are volunteers and have a life. As a result, they are not here 24/7.
The Dev team is based in Australia and rumors also have it they have a life. As a result, they are not going to react to a suggestion made Friday Night.

Moderators sure are not looking for even more under appreciated work.
Dev team should not post any comments about why or why not, as the competition is also watching.
