Subways, Underground, Tram or anything else Urban shots!

Will you be putting that on the DLS? It's just so.. :D:hehe:

You're quite right it is laughable but just a bit of escapism.

Not even 10% to completion and don't even know the best way to set it up.8 karts and was planning on each kart having it's own unique track which will take loads of time to lay.I'll see where i am at Christmas lol.

Excellent work! Are you using a catenary wire spline on a separate layer than your track to create this? ^^^ There are so many wonderful tracks I'd love to use for one of my tram routes but I hold back because there's a lack of catenary for them. Those look like Samplaire tracks. Also---how do you go about laying your roads? I'm having issues with my patience lol

Thanks for the comments!

Track embedded in the roadway is by chereck - ch Tramtrack m strom Kuid 286036:29013 Comes in three spline lengths, with and without overhead wire.

Ballast Track is as you say by Samplaire, SAM T Track PS-83 in several ballast options Kuid 132952:101257 is the one pictured. The overhead wire is seperately applied on this track.

Pretty sure all the track is DLS.

All of the wire supports are seperately added. All are by paulzmay and are on the DLS.

Roads aren't 'layed' - they are asphalt scenery textures applied to the baseboard with invisible roads providing the traffic. And doing it that way won't help with patience issues!

Cheers! :)

Thanks for all that Dermmy! I'm finally using those trams and man they are sweet!

Throwback to when BART was first beginning:

If anyone has sufficient 3DS experience and would like to partner up on some wide gauge tracks...let me know!

Cathedral Corner.....

tramz_035.jpg

... needs about a hundred more pedestrians and more road traffic. Road traffic levels reduce as other computer load increases and this is a pretty intense little route on a pretty crappy computer. There will be more carz on better rigs....

Just play the route at midnight or dawn. :hehe:

I like seeing this route and I am wondering where you will go with it. Where did you get the trams from, and what are good overhead wires to work with them? Also, what is the warehouse building called?

Are you sure this is just ONE board?! This is freaking amazing! :D Setting the bar higher and higher with each picture!

Keep it up!

Are you sure this is just ONE board?!

No. It grew! A board is 720 meters square. The 'route' is 820 x 1140 so it's now officially a board and a bit! At first I was just playing around to see what I could squeeze in, but it's turned into a fascinating little route in it's own right. If it's going to 'operate' though it needs portals, and on the original single board two sides had crossroads so close to the edge that arriving trams just barrelled through the intersection with no regard to the ATLS traffic control system. The only fix was to add about a hundred meters to those edges so that portal-spawned arrivals have time to get clear of the portals and accept the need to stop at red lights!

;)
