My second question was about the hangers of the tram catenary system. Unfortunatelly I do not speak so good Swedish as you speak English...

Ohh, you mean the catenary! :o It's named "Rustram", not sure were I've find it, and the pylons is avalible at DLS, named "Strab" and something after that. I hope that was what you meant xD
 
Just noticed a whole load of screenshots from a route i'm working on have vanished from this thread and in some cases been replaced with random photos ? Anybody know why this would be the case ?....It now seems to have been rectified overnight.

Hallo,

besides my Milwaukee Road Project (http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=39904) I am also working at a Street Car Project, just as I like trams. Also sometimes I need a little break working on just one project.

There is a set of PCC cars under creation as well as a set of street cars from back of the 30’s. Some of the PCCs will be a virtual model of San Francisco's Muni PCCs , the others will be set up as fictional versions.

Last year, I undertake a study for creating San Francisco’s F line by extending the cable car route which is already at DLS provided by NormP. But this would need the creation of a huge number of special buildings and a new track, street, junction and board walk asset to be able to build the many streets at the slopy terrain. Most of the buildings at DLS have been designed for a flat ground and would not fit. Anyway, it would be possible even right now, but with an enormous and inefficient effort of time.
Therefore I decided to go for a fictional large city first, where I can use the DLS objects available right now. About 15 Kilometres of street car lines and the area around it have already been created so far.

Wow Hotgrove, that is stunning! I really hate being a gimme pig but, which overhead supports are you using there? They look fantastic; everything looks fantastic! :udrool:
 
Thanks for the nice words Jack.The overhead is built in (trainz 2009).They can be found under trackside mode 'y'.I find them easy to work with as the one i use fits the height perfectly for the choice of tram i use.The contact wire has to be added manually though but it is easy enough.I have simply added the small lamps at the top of each pole to give them a better look....a bit painstaking but however.....my screenshots look poor quality from my side...tried using a number of different settings with photoscape but no matter what i try they still look poor..........regards hotgrove.

Hallo chickenjoe,

thank you for your interest on the streetcar with the pedestrian live saver. Right now this car has not been finished. Also the original mesh came from another creator and I dont have the permission yet to distribute it to anybody else. I just created a lot in addition to the original mesh - e.g. the whole interior and the live saver. But such additions and improvements does not change the situation that I need permission first.

At the moment I am working at my Milwaukee Road project and I dont have time left at the moment to put forward with the streetcars.

These are all trams that run (or have ran) on the Blackpool Tramway in Lancarshire, England, but I might do a London/Leeds/Sunderland Feltham, and perhaps a few US streetcars...
Anyway, would anyone like to help me get them in to Trainz? I've tried, and failed horribly, so I'm looking for someone experienced to get them in to Trainz. I will credit you on eventual release too.
 
Thanks susanaes....those wires are built in content...trz 2009....Tram Cat- 64 contact wire........Nathanmallard,those seaside trams look superb.....would love to see them on the DLS.

I can help you. I don't care about any credit myself. All I would need are your model folders, your choice of bogies and other attachments. from these I can make a Trainz folder with attachments filled and config to match. All you would need ti do is put in your number to match your other assets or supply me with them to put in myself for you. PM me if this sounds agreeable with you.
