Hallo,
thank you all for the compliments.
The layout now contains about 20 kilometres of street car lines. This includes a big downtown loop and a long line expanding westward. After some kilometres, the west line splits into three branches, toward north, west and south connecting suburban areas to the city. I also want to put in some bus lines using invisible tracks.
Also train traffic will take place. A passenger terminal is situated just west beside the downtown including some maintenance facilities. The rail line will also expand westward including several industry yards. Still, I did not decide, which industry will take place.
As the fictional city is situated at the east coast, there will also the possibility to include some passenger ferries made by Vulcan.
@ spikerod: The PCC cars, I am about to create, are virtual models of SF-Muni Cars. But the PCC at the night screens has a fictional color scheme. So don’t try to find its counterpart in real live, as there is no one
@ ish6: The streets containing the street car lines are 30 meters wide just between the footpaths. The other roads are 20 meters wide just between the footpaths. The buildings have a distance like indicated by google maps for several cities. So therefore I think the scene doesn’t look crowded.
@ Ronayne: From left to right, the banner indicates following Milwaukee Road content:
- EF4 “Little Joe” – 60’s livery (EF4 No. E75 is Built in at TS2010)
- EF2 “Box Cab” Unit A+C+B – 50’s livery (EF2 No. E29 is Built in at TS2010, but in 60’s livery)
- 4-8-4 S3 Northern (not finished jet)
- EP3 “Quill Drive Electric” in 20’s livery (not released jet)
- EP2 “Bi-Polar Electric” in 40’s livery (not finished jet)
- Erie Built Diesel in 50’s livery (released at DLS)
- Olympian Hiawatha Skytop Lounge Car (released at DLS)
For more information about my Milwaukee Road project, you may have a look to this thread: TUME’s Simulation of “The Milwaukee Road”.

There you can use a link to watch a video about my Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route. The whole route is now Built-In at TS2010. Only you see the route at the video as it was at TRS2006. So in between there was a lot of further detail improvements including a new set of 3d-LOD-tracks and the changeover to speed trees coming along with TS2010.
I hope this helps a bit.![]()
