Strange switch and track happenings

stouthm

Get over it
After placing track and switches, in route layer, fine tuning signals I'm ready to have a go at a session. I place the locos with rolling stock and proceed to run the route. Everything is fine until I save the session. Later, when I want to continue the session I find that the switches are in the middle of the track, the arrows are pointing in the direction of the track and the arrows are red. Some track spline points have a kink in them. I've gone back into the route session and fixed the offending switches and track and sometimes they're fixed until I save a session again. It's not always the same switches or tracks. It seems to be random. What's going on here?

Yes man Its the same problem that i am facing now I made a track, and i was happy sudden on a day it was a doom. after making a big track the point are misbehaving. e.g i am using CHN trackpoints from OCEMY in trainz 2012, after making a huge track when go to run the trackpoints gets displaced and became faulty by showing one end right and the other end goes faulty.
Even my trainz gets crashed...

Its very buggy IS there any fix to this e.g patch

Make sure you have the latest update to bring your version of TS12 up-to-date. The N3V version is 49922. The latest Steam version or that by Just Trains maybe different.

Check out the links on Shane Turner's website regarding the patches.

Vinny,
Have you been altering/adding track in the session layer ? Sounds like it. All track work must be done in the route layer only.

Just for clarity, the Just Trains version uses the same build numbers for TS12 as the N3V/Auran version and the latest, as you can guess, is build 49922.

Morning all,

just stumbled on this one not seen before!
Trainz in general has spline problems/bugs and this is no exception but all depends if you use simple track and track switches without fix track/fix switches. They react different very different but not less ugly and random.
Stouthm I assume you not use fix switches right? Splines in roads are even more ugly eg using yarn yarnish they screw up in a way you not want to know and yes create new roads or double them you might not see making a jigsaw puzzle to solve.
You can only imagine what i went thru by times and that is not even close, but stable now as long as you not touch change or fiddle with it and NO it is not only TS12 related.
the only thiing you can do is carefully repair and draw spline same direction or when from fix objects draw away from the object and connect helps sometimes.
If using fix switches like i do from Olegkhim i can give a seminar on how to and even more on how to not!

regards

Roy;)
