strange dls problem

i am in the uk have a first class ticket and just recently have found that if i go on the dls and see an asset that i want like today the 6th if i try to download using cm3 it keeps saying unknown location when its plainly on the dls, i then have to wait a couple of days to get it is anyone else having these problems or is there some way to sort it out thanks in advance for any and all help in advance.

It seems to take one to two days between the time the new asset shows on the DLS and the Content Manager download helper will admit it is there. I just make a note of it and come back in 48 hours to get it.

I did once successfully download such assets immediately, however, using the FTP server. If you are in a hurry you might try that.

This has to do with the database in CM not being in sync with the DB on the DLS. As Bernie says here, it sometimes takes a day or two to get the two to talk with each other.

I've gone up to the DLS and downloaded via the FTP, which works fine if you need the item bad enough.
