hi and I don't know if this is the right place but a long time ago someone on Sen City 2006 told my how to put something so trainz would stop on a red light can anyone tell me how to do this again on TRAINZ CLASSIC because I had to put in new hard drives Mario

STOP AT A RED LIGHT

Ok the first on Sen City 2006 was on TRS 2006 but Sen City 2006 because of a new hard drive it is on TC but I will go back to TRS 2006 and right now they crash please help me

Hi Mario,

Did you remember to put the patch back in after reinstalling TRS2006? Remember you need to install the program first. Don't open it, then run the update. SENCity2006 might be TRS2006 SP1 and not regular TRS2006.

To get this to run in TC, you need to copy over the dependencies from TRS2006. There's nice sticky on how to do that in the Classics support forum.

How you doing anyway?

Stop for a Red Light

John with TRS 2006 not working right can I get SP1 put that in and then run TRS 2006 and see if it stop then on Sen City 2006 which it is on TC Mario

Hi Mario, you just sent me a PM about this but aparantly Trainz says you can't receive PM's back!!??..... so here's the info you wanted.

Also, Sen City 2006 will work in TRS 2004, (SP2 up) & TRS 2006, (any).
I'm not sure it will run in TC though.

I've just bought TC and it doesn't have a lot of the Auran Built-in content. Since that's not available on the DLS either, there is a lot missing. (like tunnels and bridges etc.)

Also, they changed the physics in TC. I tried to run Sen City and the Magicland train it uses had a top speed of 2mph in TC. Not had time to investigate yet but thats first observations in TC3.

Now your info......

ESSENTIAL TWEAK

As with my original Sen City, due to the peculiarities of Trainz, the NYCTA trains will not stop at red lights in a scenario. To rectify this, open KUID2:58843:19999:1, the NYCTA Engine Spec ‘config’ (not configold), for edit in CMP. (For TRS 04 users it should now be in Dispatcher/Downloads)
Then find the ‘max-decel’ line (half way down in ‘motor’). It should look like this.

max-decel 1000

Change it to this….

max-decel "1500 //1000"

And include the quotation marks! I don’t know why they are needed….. and often it works by just changing 1000 to 1500…. But I have had problems with it taking effect. The use of the punctuation seems to work better. The rem'd 1000 is there just to remind you what was there before!
Then in TRS 2006 save and Commit, (CTRL ‘M’). In TRS 2004 you will need to delete the ‘world_cache_dispatcher.chump’ file in the TRS2004/Cache folder to force Trainz to take note of your change. (If you’re new to Trainz, don’t worry, the file will be re-created next time you run Trainz.)

Now, to test this….. When the scenario begins you will be in the cab of an ‘M’ train heading for City South. After rounding a corner the train will meet a red light. It MUST stop before this light. If it does not then the ‘max-decel’ change has not worked. There is no point in going on as the scenario will not work properly if trains jump red lights. Try the ‘max-decel’ change again.

There is a thread about putting the 06 .ja files into TC so the built-in content can be used in TC. http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=13863&page=8&highlight=patrick31
