steam loco's

hey guys,
Im pretty new to trainz 09 but is it just me or does the steam engines act kind of wierd. or just wrong i should say, I mean ... well i dont know but what i would like to do is maybe edit the way the traction and power of them work, any help would be great. im not just waiting for the answer here im looking hard for ways to fix this as i do love working with the old west content and the steam trains. thanks

Go into your content manager and change out the engine spec.

hey thanks for the quick reply, i did go there and mess with the edit and open for edit stuff but im clueless. i looked for and found some engine spec downloads but ... lol havent a clue on useing those either. im scanning the web now looking for some how to guides and other stuff. thanks for your help.

There is a general engine spec for TC3 on the DLS. Try that.
Edit the loco config and change the engine spec number to the new number.
The easiest way though would be to use the engine from a built in loco.
