steam locomotive problem

I"ve updated "The General" steam locomotive to TC3 standards and whenever I run it in cab mode, the boiler pressure is 0 PSI and the water level is low but then jumps to 0%(in real life the loco will explode) and i cannot raise water or steam by using the injectors even with a coal level of 100%. i have used the 2P 4-4-0 Enginespecs from 44090 Digital Models

If you have changed the steam-engine spec using billegulla's calculations it must be trainz-build 2.9. Your problem is symptomatic of using traiinz-build 2.7 for the enging spec.

Let me guess, you changed engine spec and tested it using a session you'd already saved?

It seems some aspects of the running engine spec are saved along with the session asset, so if you change the engine spec on an asset, you MUST remove that asset from the session and re-place it. Otherwise you end up with a loco that doesn't work.

thank you nikki69

i have deleted the locomotive and added a new one and the new one did not have an empty boiler

I know this is an old thread, but just to let you know that I HAVE been trying to eliminate the problems with my engine(s). These engines were primarily designed for TS9 and below.

IF I can get past this point, I will re-release them for (at least) TS10 standards.
