steam locomotive horsepower & size

Hey, guys

I was hearing things about the big boy being the largest steam locomotive and the same goes for the challenger class 4-6-6-4 and is it true or not that these are but then there is the 2-6-6-6 from the C&O railroad company designed for freight service. And what is the horse power rating for these three locomotives?

What speed are they going? Horsepower when it comes to steam locos is different compared to diesel locos. As a steam loco speeds up the horsepower will change.

well It really does not matter for how fast a steam locomotive is going and how big it is and just as long as it is out on the rails pulling trains and impressing alot of railfans who like them that is just as good!
