Hey,S301

I have a question for you: how much fuel does the average american and or Australian steam locomotive burns because I am having trouble trying to burn coal in a American 2-6-0 mogul steam engine firebox and when I try to get the locomotive up to speed I notice the steam pressure is dropping when I look on the gauge and does this affect the boiler pressure? I Just need to know so that I don't make the same mistake again while trying to keep steam in the engine's boiler and I know you should not have the kind of problem like I have while driving any steam engine that is American or/ and Australian
and another thing I noticed is that any steam locomotive I drive eats up alot of coal and drinks alot of water which is strange and I need to know is this Common for steam?

Vary general, 100 miles for water, 200 for coal, this is very very general. Trainz steam locos do not behave as the real thing, big post on this if you search on it.
