Cheers,

psh glad i'm not workin the switch tower:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Mates, I believe that at the switch tower they have to select the begining and end-signal, so that the switches will automaticly jump in the right position ;) It would go to slow if they have to get every single switch in the right position by themselves lol, at Utrecht CS there arrive and departure about 1500 passenger trains every day (Monday-Friday) (Freight trains not counted)

Cheers Ruben

Hi,

Wow, very great work ruben. I can recognize Ut CS very well. And you are right. A fully driving way is set at once by the dispatcher or ari(automatic train controll by computer). When the computer fails then you got a totally mess at there. The hole traintraffic is hold down and stops at that point. No train is driving then anymore till the problem is solved.

Ok so the first one is a real photo! I just liked the shot! :)

Charing Cross at its busiest? Try Clapham Junction! :) Lets see, double 377 going to Margate, double 455 going to probably Epsom Downs and a euroscout checking the integraty of the track.

@campbell5149, try working as a signaller at this station: http://www.newcastle-arts-centre.co.uk/Exhibition__Preview.htm
I was looking for a pre 1988 photo of York station too, as that is quite bad, so much so, a book dubbed it a "civil engieers nightmare".
Or how about London Waterloo? http://local.live.com/default.aspx?...14552&style=a&lvl=16&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000
Then again, theres Clapham Junction

You should never try and signal any of these places during the rush!

Two pics from my fictional route. I've finally given it a name, "Southern Network". Most of my pics are in the Aussie thread, but they are more progress shots really.

I'll use this thread as an avenue for showing different trains running around the route.

I've named my stations after the National Rugby League (NRL) teams.

Here we see two pics showing Parramatta station and some of the traffic that it would see more so in the 80s.

An S set departs Parramatta, next stop Illawarra.
