Hi Everybody.
Apologies if this bumps any other thread but I was wondering if anybody has had the same problem as me when placing speedtrees on a route.
I have for some time been building a British route which was started in TC3 and then after acquiring 2010 at Christmas the route was updated and development continued in that. It had always run very smoothly in TC3 with no problems at all.
After being updated new sections have been added with the inclusion of some of the better varieties of speedtree. However, I started to notice that when in driving mode things started to get a little jerky although I have not had any complete freeze up. Some forum members may have noticed that I started asking in another thread what specs members would recommend when purchasing a new computer for Trainz. As several felt the specs for my existing computer were already very good I tried several recommendations that were put forward to speed up my existing one. This had some success.
While trialing these I noticed that the sections of the route that were built in TC3 still ran perfectly but sections that were added in 2010 where running jerkily. I realized that the only thing that was different between the sections was the inclusion of speedtrees. So I spent the whole of one evening and a morning replacing speedtrees with the original trees included in earlier versions of Trainz (despite the alpha problem). The result, complete success the whole route now runs as smooth as silk.
After that I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this problem, or perhaps it could act as a solution or warning for others.
