Speed Issue with BR Class 105 DMU.

Auran's BR Class 105 DMU, with the updated cab interior, are now quite pleasant
to drive, as the interior is now very well detailed. (Which is more to be said for the
vast majority of DMU's on the DLS). However, when these units are being run in
AI mode, they only run at about half of the permitted speed limit. (The max permitted
speed rule is used, and the maximum speed for these units is 70 mph) eg. 100 mph
limit, train runs 54/55 mph, 70 mph limit runs at 35 mph, etc., just as though all the
signals were set at caution, which they aren't, they are all green. Any ideas chaps?

Add the custom hud v2 to the session, this will show you the signal aspect the dmu is seeing. I've found at times that I'm looking at a green but the huds showing a yellow which means half line speed. Duff signalling.

It's due to the way the DMU has been set up and the enginespecs used. From memory the trailer car uses an espec with a different max speed to the power car, which causes the issue.

I've made some dedicated especs for R3, to be released when he has finished the 105 upgrade. I haven't released them seperately up to now, because it is not straightforward to change especs on built-in assets. I'm not sure if R3 is still working on his 105 upgrade at the moment.

Glad this is a known issue. My 105 keeps running 10mph below the limits.. I thought it was my signalling!

The DTLC is using MK2 DBSO Engfile, kuid:45317:97011, for the engine spec which has a max speed of '45' (not sure if that means mph or what). The DMB is using DMU 300hp, kuid:2512:51102, with a maximum speed of '35'.

Wouldn't a temporary measure be to clone the DBSO enginespec, change max speed to '35' and then revise the DTLC config accordingly?

Hi

The easiest solution is to change the e-spec kuid in the DTLC to the same one that is used by the DMB, remembering to change it in the kuid table as well.
