What the hell is happening here with all these scammers on the forum I mean why don't change the policy for the registration where we have to get a valid Trainz game registered to be on the forum ?

It seems to happen every so often. Unfortunately I don't think having a requirement for a valid Trainz game would help as it would prevent people who want to buy the game (any version) and haven't bought any previously from asking questions about the game prior to purchase.

I've already reported both posts - I would suggest rather than replying to the posts or similar it's better to just report them.

I know the official Party Line is "we cannot restrict access to users owning a registered copy since we will cut out potential users asking about the game". Fine.

How many such users do you remember? I'm here since 2002, and I don't recall ever seeing one. On the other hand, I saw lots of spammers and of people with illegal copies of the game whining because they cannot access the DLS.

More recently there have been a number of first time posters who have had problems registering their legal copy of TANE. I believe that unregistered users are restricted to posting in the General forum and perhaps one or two others.

When you read a spam, scam e-mail, do you immediately open it, and start typing to the sender, and personally respond to it ?

No !

Then why would you blurt out blithering to a bot, and start typing and respond to his spam, scam, and personally respond to it ?

Why didn't you just report the thread ?

You can use my 419 Blacklist/Blocklist, but you would need to install it into the forum...

Look HERE, and then someone would need to monitor it continuously...

Sorry, I was making dinner...

I thought users w/o a registered game had to enter a captcha before posting. Maybe the bots have found away around it?

That wouldn't surprise me I'm afraid - something I was reading recently seemed to suggest that older captcha systems (ones where it involves copying letters/numbers) are easily worked out by bots (as well as non-bot scammers as well).

Correct. The latest systems involve distorted images or finding the "odd image out" which, to date at least, easily defeat automated image recognition software. Unfortunately, they also tend to defeat a percentage of humans as well, which is a problem for the more complicated and "bot-proof" captcha systems.
