SP2 2010 update

I have just realized there is an update for Engineers version, 41662 to (?).
I tried to install right away with my current download.
It was supposed to be install, but I spent almost 2 hours and still did not install. So, I deleted my 2010 abd reinstalled it and then tried the update.
Well, now it says to be sure nothing is running with the program.
This was yesterday. I keep getting this, so I can't update.
I got to say, allways something
Does anyone have a clue?

For those who read my posts I was very upset that I couldn't run 2010 on my win7 64, ati 5970, 12gb ram comp.:'( So I gave up and uninstalled the game.

Then I stewed for a few days and then started to read different things here and at MS. I then read a post from some bright fellow who suggested that you reload the game,but don't open it until you have patched it sp1 then sp2.

I just ran my first session without an error or an crash, without having to fiddle with the settings or run it in compatibility mode. :clap:Just make sure the display is the same as your desktop.

Trainmaster440 I had to leave the computer on over night to patch SP2 I just couldn't wait for it and it was 4am pst. and I already played 45 min of poker and the install was only at 10%
In the morning it was done.

Yeah well that's it. SP2 patches built-in content so it takes a long time. Many hours. In fairness, I wish Auran would state that this is a LONG process. . But, that said, updates ... especially for such as user-content-driven game ... is an involved process.

Mr. RRSignal summed it up.

The process takes a very long time. Start it, go to work, sleep, out for the day, etc., and it'll finish up in due time.

When prompted to do a database repair, let the program do its thing.
