Sound problem

Lately my Trainz game has had this "buzzing". Its hard to describe, but, like when i start it up, when you scroll the menu buttons its buzzs, and when i drive trains and blow the whistle or adjust something in the cab it buzzs. Also on some engines the engine sounds also buzz. I dont know what it is, when i bought Trainz it was happening, but then it stopped happening and i didnt worry about it. But now its back, and its getting annoying cuz all i want to do is drive an engine on one of my maps but all the damn buzzing makes it annoying and hurtful on the ears if the sound is turned up loud.

Anyone have any guesses? Im open to anything

If you're using onboard, what's your motherboard?

I dont think it has to do with my hardware because nothing else gets the buzzing(and i have a fair number of games) but trainz.

Well, could you please answer the questions? Or at least, what is your motherboard model?

Try switching between OpenGL and DX. My sound gets distorted if I choose OpenGL.
