Sorry to be a nuisance but I'm struggling with andi06's double slip crossings...

Dreaded Reactor Meltdown
I have looked at all the info Andi06 has provided but I am struggling to get the animation to work. I have named the four switches and named the crossing it's self, but I must be missing something important, I am sure I have lined up all the blue & green invisible rails correctly, the two way & three way junctions work fine.
It's just the naming of the crossing & levers I don,t understand. Dose any one know of a route that has Andi06's double slip junctions working in them so I could take a look at it. or better still can anyone walk me through it.

Hello Jonathan
The question has been asked (and answered) before, but the proper instructions have been lost again.
So, wire up the double slip as shown in Andi06's tutorial. Name the junctions (for instance) J 1, J 2, J 3, J 4 clockwise to start from the blue node. Name the whole object (the slip itself) J [1,2,3,4] et voilà, it works.

Thanks Cornelis, for taking time to answer my dilemma, I did a search under double slip crossings but all i got was how to signal it and put down marker to prevent crossovers, there was nothing about the configuration of Andi06's crossings themselves, other than what Andi06 had written, and withall the single quotation marks in it, I was left confused as to what exactly to put and nothing I did seem to work! Just one thing to clear up, should there be space between the J and the 1, and should there be a space between the J and the [1,2,3,4]? If there is I think this is where I went wrong. I will try it tonight and let you know how I got on.
And thanks once again for your kind assistance.:)

Dear John,

The GCR V3 route has a double slip at Ashby Magna (up direction in sidings), named AM [1,2,3,4]. In this version of the route I still have the JK control box present. This slip works for me. The spaces in the named junction and the individual points should be consistent. Best of luck.

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks Peter, I will investgate that route, I think I have it already downloaded or was it V2? Anyway I shall find it and have a poke around.
This JK control box you speak of? Is it needed to get the junctions to work correctly? I did not know that I need to have one.

Thanks again, my cup runeth over.

Dear Jonathan,

I believe that the latest version of the JK points no longer require the junction box which used to store the various settings. Andi06 has now "scripted" the system so that the box is redundant. Since I built the points into the GCR prior to this scripting I have not removed the box. I do hope that you can get the points to work since they are very elegant and lifelike. If you access the points by using the ? key you can than get full details of how to wire and use them by going to the "i" key.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi guys, I just like to say, thank you to both of you without your help I probably would have never have got it to work, it did turn out to be the spacing that was the problem, just missing one small gap was all it took to give me so much grief and frustration.
The points are now working perfectly.
Peter that route of yours is very good by the way, it is very impressive indeed, all those intricate bit you add to your layout totally give it realism. big fan!
