Some general info and a dependency heads-up

Just figured I'd give everyone a few bits of info on a couple KUIDs that I had trouble finding so others didn't have the same problems. For those of you that have N8phu's reskinned F-units, they use the Airchime K5Hr24 (B39-8) hornsound, <kuid:261222:1053>, which can be found at www.uslw.net/ under the 'Dependencies' section. The RSD12 engines on the DLS use this hornsound as well. I tried for a long time to find this one and stumbled upon it one day.

For anyone that has my SP reskin of Mchawkman's SP SW1500 2535, it uses the horn for the www.uslw.net/ Reading & Northern SD40-2. This was the only piece of content I switched the hornsound on, since I liked the deeper tone of it. I'll post a few additional little info bits as I find others to let the newcomers who might not know where everything is in the Trainz world be able to find them easily. Don't forget to check out my thread about dead engines and how to create them, if you're interested in an intruiging part of modeling locomotives in Trainz!

Tip #2: If your copy of Trainz is showing random assets that are faulty and you know they aren't, then try an Extended Database Repair. If after this step you still see the assets marked faulty and try to validate them, keep an eye out for anything referencing "Asset unable to be validated. Internal asset error. Hash file etc. etc." or similar, this is a file directory issue. Uninstall your copy of Trainz, then delete the old file directory. Once you've done that, then re-install Trainz and you should be good to go.

Tip #3: The SD9 diesels from Project Western use the trucks from Ben Neal's SD7 and SD9 diesels; make sure to download and install the NS SD9m #58 from Santa Fe Buff's webpage. If you're unsure of where to find his webpage address, go here http://www.railserve.com/Computers/Trainz/ and look for his webpage. This page also has several other interesting Trainz related pages and many of them are worth looking at.

I have a small tip also from my years of trainz. i've noticed that if you come from TS2006 and you upgrade to TS2009 that you need to patch enough even though there is no more support for TS2006. Some assets maybe faulty to another game. The game will crash.

Also about loco dependencies. I recommend getting all dependencies from USLW and Jointed Rail ETC Depends what CC you use :)
