Some Driver Commands not showing

The driver commands associated with platforms, businesses, buildings or any named object not showing in driver commands.
I have never had problems with this in my three previous versions of Trainz.
I refer to commands such as Navigate to, or Drive to, these are totally devoid of any reference. even though there are many stations on the route.
The only way I can get a train to move anywhere is to insert trackmarks, they all work.
Any help appreciated.

Without knowing the exact details of what you have added to your layout, here are the general points.
  • Apart from a few basics, many driver commands will not appear in the command bar unless they are added (ticked ON) in the Driver Command Rule in the Session Editor so that is the first place I would look.
  • Industries, including stations, must be industry active, that is able to produce or consume products or passengers. They don't have to be configured beyond their default settings but the ability must be present. For stations they must be passenger enabled, capable of loading/unloading passengers. Just adding a platform object from the DLS, running track alongside it is not sufficient unless you have added an interactive passenger track (which can be invisible) to connect to the tracks.
  • Industries will not appear in the Drive To... and Navigate To... destination lists if they are not connected to the track

I appreciate the reply, it would appear this is much more complicated than previous versions.
I've only recently upgraded to 2022 so I started with a clone of Kickstarter country 2022 to practice.
The commands to navigate to and drive to are in the list but where to go is not visible.
Your reply explains a lot, but I am unsure at this stage how to activate industries or connect items to the track.
I previously recall all these connections were automatic.
All I have done is add two trains to St Nicholos Station and two platforms at Westside.
Platforms were added to the route and the trains to the session.

You didn't say what you upgraded from but nothing that I know of has changed in that department since active industries and driver commands were first introduced - somewhere around TS2004???

I just tried Kickstarter Country 2022, the Local Freight session, and the Drive To... command does not appear in the Driver Commands. In Surveyor I opened the Session Editor, Driver Commands Rule and Ticked ON the Drive To... command. Back in Driver Mode the Drive To... command now appears with a full list of industries. Interestingly, the Navigate To... command, which does appear, produces nothing. Try adding the Drive To... command first.

I repeated your test in TRS22 PE and when I clicked on the loco with CTRL-Right click I choose navigate to... I too don't see industries listed but if go down to the area for adding driver commands and click the double chevrons then choose navigate to... I get the expected pop up where I can choose an industry including the stations.

Just to thank you for the above information I will endeavor to press on for a solution.
I have used TRS10, TRS12, TANE, TRS19 and now TRS22. Never had a problem with previous versions.

Select Navigate to and click on it. A window will appear where you can select the industry you want. The industries don't appear alongside Navigate to.

Ahh yes, of course. To open the Navigate To... list you now have to click on it first then select the industry from the drop down list in the small dialogue window. I had forgotten that.

I noticed that the default set of driver commands is a bit on the thin side.

Whenever I create a new session, I add in the commands I use most of the time. It's too bad we can't save this set as a default so that all sessions we create have them ready for use rather than having to dig through the list to add them in each time.
