Small route's Collection

yes sorry about this i am not into layers and such but it seems you have to some how merge the session into the main route that seems to be the problem still on a learning curve as regards uploading, ref the missing kuids both by red shark A5 v2/A15 v2 texture just as a note i made this route as a test for my first attempt at a oo modal railway.

I'm waiting to see how the upload of Ashburton-Windrush has gone, so who knows whether we'll encounter the same problem!

Well here's something i knocked up this weekend just a very small route on one edge of a baseboard. Here's some shots to see what you think i will try to upload it to make sure everything is included but be aware it doe's contain some pay where mainly the grass's and tree's, hope you like it.

:D Another little gem from the Master. Looking forward to downloading it. Your Much Murkle is working fine as is your Asburton.

Kind regards

Ray

Razor,

As someone who likes building minimum sized routes would you be interested in some assets that allow you to put a "baseboard edge" onto the visible part and possibly have a "floor" as a single asset (rather than just a blank or textured baseboard) ? The "edge" (which is a spline only at the moment) is something like this:

The appearance could be all sorts of finishes e.g. curtains, as was the norm at model railway exhibitions in my time. I have a few other possible assets in mind along the same lines, depends if anybody wants them.

If you are interested I'm looking for a victim, sorry I mean volunteer, who might want to check out some of these assets for me and give feedback towards their development.

Cheers

Chris

i would be very interested to have a look at what you suggest i have been thinking about this problem myself to try and create a neat edge i have tried some of the wall splines but its fiddly and some how does not look wright how high are these spline's going to be because i have found that you have to drop the unused baseboard quite a bit look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Razor,

Consider yourself volunteered !

The splines I have made so far are 50m deep (but height adjustable, so the ground height can be anything less than 50m, relative) they are 5m wide at the top, which can either be "buried" or visible - as in the screenshot, these measurements are just the ones I came up with when I got the idea and it's not a big job to make different sizes BUT most of the work is in the textures. I have also done an inner corner asset (wood) and some "floor" assets, one of the "floors" is a spline but the rest are fixed size for performance considerations, in combination they should cover most requirements. It's your sort of feedback I'm looking for to make these assets fit for purpose and I'm completely open to ideas.

If you would like to try out some of the assets then PM me your email address and I will send a CDP to you in the next couple of days. I'm concentrating on my road assets at the moment but developing the edges and related stuff (I call them MR or Model Railway assets) would be a welcome change from the road asset "production line" !

Cheers

Chris

Well in keeping with my small route's collection i thought i would have a bit of a change and build a Engine Shed as a module to be incorporated into a larger route or to be used on its own with storage yards based at each end it is based on a layout built by the East Kilbride Model Railway Club. I think its just about there now as my computer is starting to complain only thing i am not to happy about is the track in the yard rails are to bright
and am still looking for a better track anyway here is a few pic's hope you like it.

Thanks to Imageshack.

Hi Razor I am haveing fun with your other routes and this one looks pretty good as well I can't wait for this to be ready
Thank you for the other routes and the time you have put into them
I would like th pick your brains sometime so that I can build sweet small routes as well
