Here are a few pic's of my new route Much Murkle adapted from a route found in railway modeller, still work in progress this time i have used scenery over the whole board rather than confine it to a small area.

Yes I agree small is better and you can spend more time doing the detail
maybe a small route Thread should be started on these threads???
Chris

I like it. Kinda reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine. Very nice attention to detail. Will have to keep my eye on this one. And I agree with cvkiwi, a thread for smaller routes would be a great idea!

thanks for the replies yes i am concentrating on a small layout but just decorating the surrounding board so it does not look blank and kind of like a island in the middle of the board, but because my computer is not to powerful it makes it available to those that can super detail it like paulsw2 as done to my asburton and windrush layouts.

"Small is beautiful" is definitely a philosophy we can all learn from.

This looks great, like Ashburton and Windrush before it. Is that some pofig flora you're using there? It looks good.

Hi all some more screenshots of my latest route Much Murkle nearly ready for upload well as much detail as my computer can stand, just need to place signals and try and find some white point rodding?, included is a overall shot of the layout.

:clap:great stuff. I do love your layouts! Look forward to seeing it on the DLS.

Paul

PS. I'm just getting the final permissions sorted for Ashburton-Windrush so I hope to get it over to you soon.

Brilliant work......i recently opened a thread for one board layouts to enourage some ideas but it went down like a lead balloon.....half way through another one and will add screenies to the thread i started when route is finished.

Not in the same league as yours though......look forward to seeing more.

Natvander created some point rodding splines in 1, 2 and 4 versions which are on the DLS. I'm pretty sure they're built in. Try searching for Point Connector Rod. There is also a right angle connection which is a scenery object but I can't remember what it is called. Again, this I believe is built-in.

Much Murkle just uploaded to dls so should be available in the next few days hopefully, as with all my route's best viewed up close or with camera view.

Hi Razor I have downloaded all of you routes and there is a lot of missing asetts
but otherwise its a cool route
I have just downloaded your Much Murkle and all I got was a lot of colours on a boadr and no other assetts
here is some numbers that are missing can you please help
< : 478358:100049
: 100052

:'(Hi Razor. I just downloaded your Much Murkle route and all I have are the ground textures and terrain. The CMP shows only 478358:100049 and 478358:100052 are missing.
I have tried to download with CMP and FTTP but no luck so far.
Sorry,
Ray

re-uploaded route to dls hopefully got everything this time forgot to say this route uses some none dls content but if you have my previous route you should have everything sorry again for the cockup.

A lovely little route, the sort of thing after my own heart. Just a pity it is build 3.6 and not 2.8 so more of us could enjoy it. Oh well!

I've downloaded the 10th August version but am still getting just the terrain and a few textures. Is there still a problem or is it at my end? Thanks.

This is another great small route from the master of the one board layout. However, there are some problems with it.

Firstly, there are two missing dependencies:
Unknown Location: <kuid:478358:100049>
Unknown Location: <kuid:478358:100052>

Secondly, the Route itself only has 25 dependencies listed, which is why people are only seeing terrain and textures.

However, there is also a Session on the DLS and when I downloaded this I was surprised to see 307 dependencies listed! If you load the session in Surveyor you'll see the whole route as it should appear.

I'm not sure how most of the route dependencies have ended up in the Session and what can be done to disentangle it all. Perhaps layers have something to do with all this, though I've never understood them either! Is it possible to merge a Session and its contents back into its parent Route?

It's all very confusing!

However, this should not detract from the excellence of Razor's latest creation.

Paul
