Sliding doors on boxcars worked in 12 not in Tane

Has anyone had this issue? The Boxcars that have sliding doors when products are loaded work in 12 but in Tane they open and close all the time, stationary or rolling. Is there a fix or am I the only one with this issue?

If you are talking about all boxcars with sliding doors then I would guess that you are the only one with the problem, as it would have been evident in testing. If you are talking about some specific boxcars than you would need to nominate which ones.

I have tried about 10 different one and had the same issue. Here is on the car that works in 12 but not Tane

Ya majekears boxes when at a industry load/unload the doors get hung up constantly open and close looping....
 
Your right its majekears boxes that are the issue. I tried to find other boxes by others but no luck. Can anyone help me with this?

Don't know much about scripting but is this something I can modify to get it to work or should I just let it go?
 
Thanks for the Kuid. I could not find it on the download station the creator is Ocemy but I went through his items and no luck. Could you give me another?
 
LILB on JOINTED RAIL has 40ft boxcars that you can manually open the doors...the issue with the other cars are a anim loop on the doors that keep looping only way to temporarily eliminate this problem is to delete the anim config in the door mesh files...
they will stay closed and you will still hear them load but knowing theyre are a couple hundred or more cars with animated doors might be best to wait on a fix...
 
Thanks for the info. What a shame all that work to create something special for Trainz is wasted because of bad programming of what suppose to be an upgrade. Trainz needs to fix this issue along with the Mutli Industry problem as a first priority. I did find one car that does work.
 
to be honest I noticed this issue starting in ts12 3.7 but at the time it seemed just a few cars where effected....

Content was created for a particular version of Trainz. The later versions of Trainz enhance the scripting side of things and made it more robust. It should be possible to use a later script with the earlier meshes but the names used for the door meshes and the animation sometimes aren't quite the same.

In TRS2004 for example if one of my wagons is placed in surveyor everything is fine but there is another scripted wagon somewhere that if placed on the same layout as mine causes TRS2004 to crash. The scripts interact and I've no idea which other asset it is and if the other asset is used by itself its fine.

So we need the enhanced scripts.

Scripting is not in my pay grade, so that may not be a solution. Is there a good tutorial out there? Is it possible for me to take the scripting from the boxcar that does work in Tane and apply it another one that doesn't? Like I said this is Greek to me.
