Single Track Operation

I would like to know whether there is a rule that has a trigger to prevent entry of loco (using signal or trackmark).
Something like:-
Trigger xxx " All trains operate"
"Signal nnn or TM xx Red"

Trigger xxx "All trains etc"
" Signal nnn or TM xx Green).

Use of triggers enables this to be a permanent method of control thus negating the necessity to enter details in schedule each time.

Pie in the sky?

I have seen a thread somewhere about using a buried junction and some rules to allow only one train to have access to that junction, thereby stopping other trains.

I will have a look round and see if I can find it.

EDIT: Try post #9 in this thread: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=23194&highlight=diamond+crossing

Thanks very much for prompt reply but I really want to be able to set and leave. The solutions I have seen so far all require an entry in AI schedule.

Ah well, perhaps TC3 with the brilliant Bloodnock's (?) signalling, will enable some sort of script to be written.

Wasn't Wiley working on something like this awhile back? It was a script attached to a trigger and trackmark so that the train that enters a single track picked-up a 'token', and it had exclusive access to that track section. When it left the single track, it handed off the 'token' to another trigger or trackmark.

I'm not sure how far this project got or if it got pushed to the side in favor of something else.
