Simple question

I downloaded "The Rockies" and several other routes. When I open them in surveyor, I can only put a few cars on the tracks due to not being able to move from one section to the next. Is there anyway to move around other than spinning in a circle so I can have more of a consist??

Mover the compass with the arrow keys.

If your compass is spinning in a circle, try to decrease your viewing angle by holding the LMB and moving your mouse backwards. When you get consists that you like, you may save them as consists to be used again without building it car by car.

DUDE! So that's how you do it on a keyboard!
There's also a second way to zoom in and out. If you have a center wheel on your mouse, you can zoom in with that. Also, to move the compass around, right-click and drag the compass around. Hold the right buton down. That's what I do for TRS2006.

I know about the page up/page dn and the zoom in and out. What I want to do is go to another section of the yard that has a larger spot for setting up rolling stock. Right now I can get about 15 cars in a consist. I would like to get 45 or 50 and there isn't any room for that.

I think you need to be clearer on what you mean, Rusty1955. You want to go to another section of the yard... but HOW: you can drive your train there, no? Or do you mean the camera only? Then press what's it... [F4] key to detach camera from current consist, and scoot around holding right mouse button down while moving pointer towards where you wanna go? It helps to be specific when asking questions like these.

Depending on your surveyor settings, you can either use the arrow keys to move the compass to another part of the route or press and hold the right mouse button and move the mouse to move the compass.
