Silverliner V

Hi I've been playing trainz since 2006 but this years I decided to join the forums. This is my first time to post in here, so I apologize if so many bad words and bad english too :). okay as the title say, Silverliner V is WIP I'll show little bit images of my work.

that's all I can post. It'll come with ARN. If i can, I'll try to build the custom cab for this. But i have some issue with the animation, my trainz won't load the .kin file for the doors and pantograph. everytime I export it and add it to CCP the .im file become disappear when I add the anim tag on the mesh. I've just searched whole web to find the answer to make it right but I didn't found it. I've just try all of the tutorial but I still don't know how to fix this because I don't have much experience on animation in 3dsmax. I hope you guys can help me for this.

Cheers

Nice! Any chance you'll put this on the DLS? If so, I have the perfect route for them, which doesn't need very far to go (it's about 85% done) before release.

As for the animation, you might want to ask in the Content Creator's forum. I recommend not using CCP. Feel free to PM me if you'd like me to take a look at anything or if you need any additional help, although I'm a Blender guy and not too experienced in 3DS.

Wow!!! Excellent!!

Thank you very much !

Yes, welcome to the forums! And that Silverliner V looks very nice indeed!

Andrew

Many thanks ! still need improvement hehehe

Hmm looks like I'll put this on my own web or mediafire. the main model is almost done just some problem with the animation and the custom cab still in progress on modelling.

Okay thanks for your support, I'll ask you some question to you about the problem hehehe. And can ypu tell me where is the Content Creator's forum (I'm so absolutely new here hahahaha:D)

Great looking model

Many thanks ! ;)

The train isn't repainted yet, soon will be repainted.

That is a really great looking model.

You should make some without pantographs anyway. Not that the Silverliners have 3-third rail pick-ups, but they look like they could though. :)

It's actually a better idea to host these on the DLS this will ensure they are backed up and never lost should your website got hacked or knocked off line. This isn't saying that the DLS doesn't have its own baggage, but overall it's the place where many Trainz users go first and it keeps all the content in one place.

Thank you John. Yes, I use the M7 bogey, so thats why it has 3rd rail pickups hehehe sometimes I wondered that too, the Silverliner is become DMU and I think thats good idea too. About the DLS maybe I'll think that first :)Cheers

They're built by Hyundai-Rotem. Although Hyundai is a South Korean company, the cars are assembled in the U.S., in South Philadelphia. Here's an abbreviated look of the facility:

Denver apparently has ordered some for one of their rail systems, per Wikipedia.

And, yes, SEPTA...SEPTA...SEPTA! Fly SEPTA fly! :) (FYI, this is a take on the Philadelphia Eagles' chant)

*slowly raises hand*
If you ever need any help...

Off course I need help with the livery to be more realistic

All together now... "SEPTA...SEPTA...SEPTA"! :)

Who else has Silverliner Vs? I believe they're made outside the US - any other countries run them?

RTD use Silverliner too, the married couple unit and with different door. Yeah they came from Hyundai-Rotem, I don't know if they're operated too in other contries heheheh
