Signals

Hi

In ts12 they used to.

I have noticed in TANE that it no longer does this after a point, even if it is set in favour.

However I am sure there are better people to answer in more depth!

Previously if the point was against the signal it would be red, if in favour it would go green or orange depending on the number of clear blocks ahead.

It depends upon the signals most likely. If you are using the built-in search lights such as US01 signal, US02, et., then you'll see this. The scripted signals such as those by Jointed Rail or RRSignal, they don't seem to do that.

To get these scripted signals to do what you want, place a train (consist) on the track with the green arrow facing the signal. With the train on the tracks, the signal will show the proper aspect.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I thought that it was strange that some signals did and some didn't. I guess I'll have to remember that when using and placing elements in surveyor your really doing computer programming using visual objects.
