SI3D 2009 Thomas Smoke Effect?

Hi My Thomas' Smoke Effect does not work. I start moving him and his smoke starts blowing out of his funnel but then as soon as i advance 5 kph it stops? does anyone no how to fix this problem with out replacing Thomas' Smoke Effect with a different one?

Your question is tough to answer since you don't give the kuid number of the loco that you're asking about. There is more than 1 Thomas!

Well I'm talking about Sodor Island 3D's 2009 Thomas The Tank. It appears that everyone else's Thomas' Smoke Effect work but mine

Im running TRS Mac on a MacBook.
Maybe there is something I need to change

I just downloaded the latest Thomas the Tank (Thomas The Tank Engine Final.cdp) from http://si3d.jimdo.com/locos/. Is that the one you have? I ran it in TS2010 and the smoke works. The smoke is generated in twinkles and is controlled by the two .tfx files in the kuid. There may be a required plugin or .dll for the twinkles effect to work but I don't know. If you can't get them to work you might consider posting you problem in the si3d forum at http://si3d.proboards.com/index.cgi

No thats the old website. go back to it's homepage and click on the 2009 content picture and download the thomas from that site ;D
P.S. The picture of 2009 Thomas has the smoke coming from his funnel thats not working for me

Could i send you my Thomas's Config if there is still no help to the situation?
so then you could tell me if there is something missing or should I send the entire Thomas Folder?

Ok, I've downloaded the Thomas for TS2009 so now I have:
Thomas the Tank Engine,<kuid2:268447:5080:1> from my link and
Thomas the Tank Engine Baked,<kuid:268447:2336> from your link.
I ran both of these in TS2009 and the 5080 had no smoke while 2336 did. I loaded both into TS2010 and both engines smoke equally. It appears that when the locos are not moving the smoke is controlled by sidle.tfx producing a semi-transparent gray smoke that only rise 10 or 15 meters above the loco. When the loco starts to move spuff.tfx takes over to produce a much heavier black and gray smoke with twinkle effects. Maybe you should post this in the Trainz Mac forum.

Yes The Spuff is not working.
Duh silly me

So As you said it does what you just said but when I start Thomas the Spuff starts working and keeps working untill..... I go faster that 3 kph, Then Sidle takes over.

Maybe you are right if could be something to do with the game it's self eg. (Not having a specific File)

If you're refering to the problems with an enginespec then please post the kuid number of the enginespec you're having a problem with. Without that numbe it's impossible to help. All Trainz assets are identified by their kuid numbers, not by their names.

I downloaded terrier iow long bunker engine,<kuid2:44090:51014:3> into TS2010 and it commits without error even tho it is for TRS2004 build 2.0. What problems do you have with it?

I had some warnings but now it's okay because I thought they where what was causing the smoke problem sorry for wasting your time on that.

There's no problem with that its just the smoke now.
