what's a normal map?
but its only a visual effect, you cant shut down an engine in a consist. for instance, they will still 'pull' even when off, because they are not really off.

My engines{Trainz 2004} close down automatically with no smoke after clicking and moving to another engine. I am missing some kuid's {pop up advises this}which has caused this inadvertent pleasant outcome.
I noticed this effect after a reinstall of trainz04 and an attempt to import locos/scenery {also Traiz04}I had on another hard drive.
So I would really like to identify what has caused this as the yard is now pleasantly silent except for the engine actually being driven. I have noticed the exhaust smoke is also missing, which makes it realistic when the engines are idle.
I would like to know the actual kuid's causing this so that I can tinker in future if another reinstall is required.
