I think that any steam loco can be shut down in Cab mode just by not putting in any coal and let the steam pressure go to zero. I've never tried this though. Has anyone?
I came across some payware engines on another site where a panel was provided for start up/shutdown.
It is annoying having engines constanly running ..although in previous days in real life engines used to be kept running even when not in service.
I worked at a major depot station years ago where the locos were kept idling over the weekend with unlocked cabins ! A more trusting society back then..?
The Electric Multiple Units C20 from Sweden have key operated start
Computer info on driver screen -variable-route set boards etc
They are a treasure to behold (kuid2_171003 + others)
Great kudos to the builder Svoyager (and all his friends in Stockholm)As complex as the real thing to get going- Door open indication in cabin etc-- Working OK in T2004 http://www.auran.com/trainz/downloads/miscellaneous/kuid2_171003_4_9.jpg
