If you want a A1 in BR green ask Hornby... now back to adding stuff to my "want"list:hehe::p;):)

I have been meaning to post pictures of some of my HO collection for a while now. Well here they are. The first few are in the style of old Markin catalogs from the 80's.

Nice stuff guys. Went to the Springfeild show today. Picked up two 64ft UP reefers in Exactrail, very nice. Also picked up a 50ft EACH boxcar Athern, also nice. My brother got a 62ft NS bulkhead with Pipe load. Hope everyone who went to the show had a good time!

Currently on my workbench :)

It's a VR X class 2-8-2 kit from Steam Era Models (produced by DJH), this one being with the 'round top' firebox. So far it's gone together reasonably well :)

I think that 0-4-0 was a toy not a model but good anyway
I have plans to get a Hornby Flying scottsman When I have money:hehe:
And maybe a Hornby Thomas:o

Horny Thomas? What!?:o

And what about this old model, a Checkoslovakian train made by East German manufacturer Piko. I got it from a workmate, who told me the model is over 40 years old :)

The sign is off by a few cars. Counts have been as high as 223. But then again, the owner of that layout likes having a big train. We once ran a 1106 car train.

I Have An Origonal Atlas HO Scale CRIP B36-7 I Think It Is
Still In It's Origonal Box With The Caboose It came With
My Uncle Baught It Back In 1981. It Sits Proudly In My Room On My Dresser Next To My CRIP 50ft Boxcar
Looks Like This One

What I Really Need To Do Is Get My Hands On Some Modeler's Paint And Weather My SSW SD45T-2
But I Really Need A Place To Run Them
Living In A Mobile Home Makes It Difficult To Run My Models
So I Build What I Would In Trainz And Wait For My Actual Maps To Come To Use When I Have A House With A Spare Room I Can Take Over

Some more photos from tonight :) Hope you guys don't mind these ones being here, they aren't exactly 'layout' photos!

Been playing around with a 'mosaic plate' I got last weekend, quite happy with how it works, although proper lighting will make it a heap better :)

Ka-BUMP! (or, "KA-CLANK!" :hehe::) )

I guess I haven't really posted any of my collection here, and after getting a Model-Power N-Scale USRA heavy 4-6-2 painted up for ol' Miss Katy for my birthday yesterday, I figured I should finally do some showing off...

forgive the quality of these shots, I was forced to take them with the camera on my iPhone, and it's fail-tastic, to say the least. Oh, and also, notice the locale; yes, 5+ years of a proper model layout and I'm back to running trains on the floor, AGAIN.

photo3id.jpg

an overview of the main Station/yard area I had set up yesterday. That red Geep near the bottom is my Atlas MKT GP-7, number 1509. She's in her 50's getup, and she'll go well with my new pacific. Just above her, on the tracks themselves, are a Model Power 2-6-0 (which was originally slated to become an MKT J-5 class steamer, until I found I'd have to do more surgery to her than I felt comfortable with) and an FA-1 FB-1 lashup (can't remember who made it) stopping at the depot. One of these days I'm going to decal that station to look like the one the Katy had in Westline, MO., where my Grandpa grew up.

A somewhat-better shot of the mogul as she waits in the hole for the diesel-hauled mixed train to leave town so she can finish her switching chores.

photofrn.jpg

Of course, she'd have to wait just a bit longer; my new pride and joy, Katy H-3c-class 4-6-2 Pacific No. 384 clanks into town with the opposite number of the just-departed mixed. Man she looks good don't she? :D
