Show your models!

G scale here....i may or may not have posted this before. Model pretty much modern era railroading. Fleet consists mostly of Dash 9s, SD45s and a switcher or two. Consists are Intermodal (28 car train- 26 well cars, 2 autoracks) and a large mixed freight ( probably 40-50 cars these days). Have enough coal hoppers as well for a decent size coal train as well.

I do kitbash and scratchbuild some cars at times as this scale is especially hard to get things for so if you want it, make it yourself!

And lets jump the scales from G back to N with some shots of my new layout.

An over view of the progress so far:

Plymouth Yard: (More tracks where added after this shot was taken.)

Lastly, I decided to start switching a bit early. The first local gets ready to head out with just one car:

Next step is to add roadbead and syart wireing up the yard tracks. I can run the whol yard now, but I want to add at least one set of feeder wires to each track for better power. (Few dead spots due to bad rail joiners.)

You know technically it is Trainz, if you have a Windows PC you can minimize it and see it says "Trainz (*random #'s*)" it also says Trainz(TM) in the launcher.

and finally, GP-9 Black Widow, I'm disappointed with the new Athearn stuff though, they look nice but there lights blow up when I run them on the Clubs Layout, SD50 has blown lights, SW1500 has Blown Lights and the MP15AC has blown lights.

And for the scratches on the top cabnet where the photos all are, there not from building models as I don't build them up there, there from when I get anime in the mail and there in the elastic type bags which are also impossible to open so I place it on the cabnet and use a knife to open it or when I get railway books of Ebay and there wrapped in bubble wrap with a few layers of duct tape.

Cheers.

Ive created my own Facebook page for my project route. If any one wants to keep up to date with it and follow my progress.

Heres the page

And Dragon, we need to get you a good soldering iron, a Dremil, and some brass. Then you can really scratch build stuff.

The first plow in red was only a prototype I throw to gather here's the model I'm working on.

its going to be painted as CN.

I traded my SSW SD40T-2 for a AT&SF 2-10-4 and an AT&SF 4-8-4. I sent the 2-10-4 to a friend because I liked the 4-8-4 more

aww...but now 3781's gonna be lonely without that ATSF 2-10-4 to keep her company! :hehe: lol, just kidding, nice model! I've got the N-scale version of that loco myself (erroneously painted as Reading Co. T-1...[pause whilst poster rummages around in his train cabinet to find the loco]...No. 2113) she's a bit cranky, but has always been a good runner, if a mite noisy. mind the tender coupling drawbar on that loco though; if it's anything like mine, it will de-couple itself on what appear to you to be even stupidly minor flaws in the trackwork. used to be hell trying to run it on my old, bent-up Kato unitrack. BTW, mine's a 2900 class, not a 3780 class like yours (or were they 3776 class? Can't remember all of a sudden).

my 4-8-4 ran for 5 and a half hour strait without failing. It is a tough little model and trust me, I would have paid for it. It is a very capable locomotive and I hope to get a layout for it soon

I forgot to post the a few weeks ago form the last mouths train show I had a few of my stuff running the 4-4-0 on at the round house.

The 4-4-0, 2-6-2 & Canadiana are mine.

dang! Nice Y6b, I assume she's yours, correct? (forgive my ignorance...better to verify than spout off like a fool, I've found!) The pair of em did a nice impersonation of a Montvale Turn, if I do say so myself, all that's missing is the part where they slam from compound into simple at the top of Blue Ridge Grade :)

You know, one day I'll post an update of my own here, but with no space for a resurrection of my layout, it's kinda hard, eh? :n:
