Show off your reskins!

Thanks everyone. Here's a few more I've done in my spare time.

Low quality freight cars, yeah. Slowly improving my texture working, mainly doing it for myself because we have a huge lack of freight car diversity. Someone's gotta do it.
Maybe one day they'll see the public light. I know they're not up to comunity standards, but who knows. Maybe someone will be inspired by them.

And then the major thing thing:

This is availible on my site, it's in beta. No idea if I'll be able to do the finished details (i.e. drumhead), and the mapping on certain cars kinda throw me for a loop and can't really do much about.

Those reskins look awesome conrailfan76! I had thoughts of doing the AOE at one point, but didn't feel like it.

Before I found out it was a real train, I came across an ad in a older Model Railroader Magazine of the AOE set (either Arnold or Rivarossi) which had a pair of E8 A units pulling the train. I even found out that MTH made their own version (A-B-A) in O gauge with a different AOE paint scheme than the Rivarossi/Arnold version. Too bad those weren't real and they would've made the train look a lot nicer. Seeing a pair of Amtrak P42 locomotives pulling the that train like they did in real life is just no different than an Austrian OBB Taurus pulling the original vintage train somewhere in the Alps.

Still skinning.

Mixture of 20th and 21st century stuff. Beginning with boxcars, these are three (of many) to come as I wanted to see what I can do to freshen up and try new weathering/graffiti applications. It also helps CSX inherited a bunch of equipment from the Conrail split.

NSC version of the Trinity 57ft spine car. 200 of these sets were built from June-October 2000 in Tomahawk Railway markings, FEC acquired them in 2004 and were further passed around to BNSF around the early-2010s.

SMW Gunderson AP 53 well car. These were rebuilt by Greenbrier beginning in 2010 from two groups of 600 total 48' AP cars built in November-December 1993 in CRLE markings.

C&O C-26 International cabooses for those that wish to eventually model the Canada Southern in the 1980s and 1990s. These are also good for modern day CSX as shoving platforms. I'm unsure of the total number of these cabooses in captive service along the CASO, but the number ranges are in the C&O 9041XX series. Two different versions with two different patch markings denoting these cabooses were to be returned to Detroit.

Finally dabbling into Mexican railroad reskins. Ferrocarril del Pacifico CNCF built cylindrical hopper from 1983, they were built using a typical 4550 cu ft. design used by Hawker Siddeley Canada and NSC. Mexico's national railroad had similar cars that are still rolling around with Ferromex as the current owner.

mbv67, it appears you're having PBR ground textures appearing on Dry Brook & Esopus Valley, as evidenced by the square of ballast in front of the ex-Conrail boxcar. I made some non-PBR ground textures, under my kuid, by cloning obsolete versions of PBR ground textures used on the DBEV, while also keeping their original name, but adding 'non-PBR' to the end of the name. If you can send me a PM with your E-Mail I'll send you an E-Mail with an attached file, containing the ground textures.
