Show off your reskins!

passion is good but your reskins are not, hope to see some improvement at some point

No more like how inaccurate the skin job is on the MRL GP35's. Too dark of blue, plows are blue, etc...

People like you guys ruin it for us. We do it for FUN, for PASSION, not to please lazy rivet counters.
My reskins are of the best quality I can make. I don't have the money for cool software like Photoshop, and I am certainly not an artist, but I enjoy my work.
I don't see y'all posting reskins, so stop complaining about mine and focus on your own. We reskinners, modelers and such enjoy our work and being stomped on by some leading community members isn't ideal.

Trainman10, you're a part of NARM, so I'd expect you to treat novice and amateur reskinners with respect and congratulate them for their efforts. This has soured my opinion of you as a person greatly.

Please think before you post. Offer constructive criticism. Offer to help me. At least tell a white lie! If you can't hold yourself, try to be NICE about it! Thank you!

at least my skins are better than gramma's...

DartRider has a point you know.
My reskins are very weak and need serious work also. Just look at the few truck trailers I uploaded to the DLS recently.
I honestly wonder if I could get a little help from you dart?

I would put them on ignore. Despite their timelines, I guess they don't know any better. I appreciate everyone who puts as much effort into creating assets for Trainz, and is nice enough to share it! I have tried some reskins and route builds and found out how much work it takes, so I don't criticize, I respect and appreciate. And I will run those MRLs and those consists on my Trainz any day of the week!

Before this thread derails any farther. Here is a screenshot from the past. My reskinned Ferromex loco from TS12:

You said it better than I could, VIA6415. Thank you.

Thank you shaun. To post a JR reskin, you first must gain permission from the original creator, be it NorfolkSouthern37, Wearsprada or others. They might not let you release it (there's a good chance they won't), but it's worth a good old college try, I guess!

Thank you Forester! I also realized this, I counted the rivets on Dave's ET44AC. Needless to say, I became a content creator mainly so I could understand the hardships, and have a bit of fun!

john2002, its all about the process. Start with something simple, like a patchout or a blank, white or gray template to work on, socal's GP35's are great. Make something funny, and enjoy it too! Do this enough and you can rival some reskinning sites. My CD&N SD45-2 is a great example.

Yea... sad that there are established members in this community that would rather toss an anvil instead of a life preserver.
Well said, cnwfan. If it means someone's gonna toss an anvil, they can toss how ever many they like, but I just love it when people stand up and throw me those life preservers.

Thank you all for your kind responses!
Now, to steer this thread onto the right track...

Slight correction for Sean_rt, You don't need permissions to POST a JR reskin, as it is your own. You DO need permission if you want to share or upload the reskin, and that may not happen. To post in the forum, just put your screenshot up in the Trainz Gallery, then copy the URL for it and use the "insert image" icon (third from right) to insert it into your post. Looking forward to seeing them!

Some of my early reskins and yes that are complete crap.
