Well it looks amazing, wonderful job daylightrain!No matter how hard you try you won’t be able to change the mapping, the reason it can’t be silver is because of the mapping not BC he doesn’t know how to skin it. I’ve had several passes at this model before, the mapping is not good to put it mildly. Good thing I have an all new version in the pipeline!

Exactly. Here was my test to see what parts are mapped where. unfortunately nothing can really be done to paint the smokebox silver. Black works and it is accurate to the real engines, so its not that big of a deal.

I never said anything about the mapping... It doesn't matter how it's mapped, I would bet any amount of money I can get that smokebox door silver.

Unless you build an entirely new smokebox and attach it to the model, then no, you cannot.

Well, i was looking for some good passenger cars to use and the ones from Steve Lerro's Frisco 1522 package fit the bill quite well.

I'll have a new kitbash out later today. Just tidying-up a few loose ends here and there...
On a sort-of related note I am thinking of creating a website for my modifications. It will feature reskins that users can download for their engines and might also feature a few select parts that I have created over the years to modify locomotives. We'll see, so that will be in the near future that I'll make a decision on that. If I do open a website I'd be open to taking regular requests for locomotive kitbashes, so I hate to say this but pull out your wish list

Maybe you could release them if you can contact steve lerro and get permission from him to release them
First off, these are payware models. I doubt Steve would let me release them. And even if i could, i probably wouldn't due to people like you. :wave:
