In driver, when one tries to drive it in Easy mode, it will just spin its wheels and may not even move sometimes. It can never get past "0 mph" in any case.

It can be driven up to 9 mph in Realistic mode on level track but without precise braking control.

It CANNOT be driven in AI mode.

It is difficult to stop it right on a dime since it must be hand-driven in Realistic mode.

It won't even begin to move unless the throttle is in the number 4 position and then like a moonshot rocket it takes off right at about 3 mph.

It will go about 50 to 75 feet before it will stop when the brake is put on fully and the throttle is shut. It has a lot of momentum for something so small and light.

Ideally, it should be controlled by DCC (Easy mode). It doesn't work well in situations where a small RR vehicle has to be parked in a precise spot.

I use the BN Speeder by gn1996 for such situations where I need a tiny maintenance vehicle parked right on a dime instead.

BN Speeder,<kuid:653172:100118>

The speeder, at least, can be controlled precisely in Easy mode and by AI as well.

This speeder has a very noisy gas engine that is loud as a chainsaw but the enginesound, thankfully, can be edited out easily when this engine is cloned to make it silent.

The handcar by thecowboy is the only engine content I know of in Trainz that has such weird control handicaps.

<kuid2:70337:10002:1> velocipede by Martinvk has a similar issue. I suspect that both the handcart and velocipede need new e-specs.

You "Busted" something else ???

Thankfully we always have you, to test and critique assets

Being that it is a TRS2006 asset, that might have something to do with it ?

Testing it out in 06 and 12

I don't know if I busted it or some virus screwed it up.

But there is a place on my pike where I can still use it where stopping right "on a flea" is not a necessity.

Why my 'handcar" won't work for MY DCC mode: well, I am no software engineer. Trainz hates me, I guess.

THANKFULLY, MY SPEEDER NEVER GOT BUSTED OR I WOULD BE IN REAL TROUBLE!

Well, they always say "You get what you paid for". You paid $0.00 for a 10 year old handcar that you think is worthless. I don't see a problem.

Of course, you could take the time and make the effort to build a handcar that works to your specifications. Then you could put it on the DLS for others to enjoy.

Have you ever actually operated this device? The behaviour you describe is exactly what it does. It will not move at all initially until you get the lever to the mid position and throw your whole weight on it. Then it takes off at a good walking pace, and can't be controlled again until you have got up off the floor and grabbed the handle and slowly brought it under control. Brakes are either non-existent or very rudimentary, and the only effective way of stopping it is by getting your weight onto the handle each time it tries to come up. If the speed is much above 4 or 5 mph then 50 to 75 feet is a really good stopping effort. It can't be precisely positioned, and it's easier to walk the extra few yards rather than try. Seems to me that the engine specs have been created by someone who is very familiar with the vehicle's operation.

This content was made for a much older version of the game. It is not fair to the creator to say the content has shortcomings when the game maker has been moving goalposts of content creation since the very first day. Do us all a favour and don't post these "reviews" anymore. Thanks in advance.
