Ship Simulator licence key issue

Hi, not sure where to post this but my attempts to get help desk assistance for the last 2 weeks have fallen on deaf ears. I purchased a download copy of ShipSim via Auran shop 3 weeks ago and the licence key provided does not work. I've tried all ways to enter it including copy and paste. Shipsim agree it is an invalid key and just send me back to Auran Shop for assistance but that has been almost worse than useless. Looking for some other way to get their attention... ideas appreciated.

I'm sorry to say Michael, this is a trainz forum, and we don't ever hear anything from Auran in here about trainz, so I seriously doubt you'll hear anything from Auran about shipsim. Unfortunately, I think your best bet will be to sit back and hope that someone over there (at the shop) will jump in.

If it's any consolations, I've seen a couple of messages in here from people having the same issue with their Trainz serial number.

I experienced the exact same thing, but I finally got help last weekend. I suppose you downloaded the install file two weeks ago, as that is when you bought it :hehe: . You then probably got some Steam nonsense when installing. Am I right so far?

Anyways, I pointed this out for Auran, and they have now replaced the install file with a new one, without this Steam sh.t. I downloaded this on wednesday, installed flawlessly, and first when I opened the game for the first time, I was asked to enter the activation code (unlike the first time, when Steam demanded the code during installation).

Try removing any trace of SSE on your computer, redownload the install file, and try again. Hope this works for you too .
