Sherman Hill - problem with Scenario

This is a magnificent creation - it has examples of the most realistic landscaping and texturing I've seen in any train sim.

I downloaded the scenario (Ballast) that is available for this route but although the CDP goes through the install sequence in what appears to be the correct and error-free manner, it doesn't come out the other side!
In other words, it doesn't appear in the Scenarios section for that route.

Any idea why this would be so?

Thanks,
Bruce.

Hello Bruce,

also check you have the Autodrive command (<kuid2:192081:4:4>) installed.
It is required by the session, but I forgot to manually add it to the kuid-table, so CM won't tell you it's missing.

Let me know if this way you manage to play the session.

P.S. Are you running the session in TS2010 or TS12?

Guys,
It's not open for editing.
I'm running TS2012.
Autorun is in my assets list.

The session shows up in the Missing Dependencies list with a question-mark icon Unknown Location for asset <kuid:57230:100298>.
(When I search the DLS for that KUID it naturally comes up blank.)

Now, I also notice that Sherman Hill v2 also appears in the Missing Dependencies listing with the following Unknown Location items:-

Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1158>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1166>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1167>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1169>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1171>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1188>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1216>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1277>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1279>
Unknown Location: <kuid:370528:1290>

I wonder if this is having an effect as well?

Any help/advice appreciated, lads. :)

Pretty sure Neoklais people are on the DLS Bruce, In CMP keep dragging the Route over into download box till it starts to pick up the missing stuff mate ya might have to do this a few times till CMP wakes up.
Mick.

Pretty sure Neoklais people are on the DLS Bruce, ......
No luck at all, Mick.
I tried many times but in each case it just Searched, found nothing and went into Idle.

I find this aspect of Trainz - obtaining content - to be the most frustrating of all........just as I did six years ago. :)

Bruce.

LMAO yeah sum don't enjoy it while others don't mind Bruce, Are you sure you have downloaded everything from Trainzitalia for this Route ?. Obviously mate sum thing is wrong as quite a few have been able to grab it all. Have you gone thru that thread completely in case ya missed sum thing first time around.
Don't forget your retired now Bruce and have time to hunt for Kuids mate :hehe: ( Just kidding but i hope you get it sorted as its a fun Route ).
Mick.

Everything that is on their download page for the route, Mick.
I'll have a wander through the last few pages of that thread once again - there may be something I missed.

Yeah - plenty of time, Mick, but little desire to search! :D

<kuid:57230:100298> is the route "Sherman Hill ver_2_0".
Please check:
1) that the route is not in "open for edit" condition;
2) that you have not set "When Trainz is started" in CM settings to "Automatically commit and reopen assets".

The various <kuid:370528:xxxxx> are all contained in three packs that can be downloaded at TrainzDepot (see the links provided by Peter at post #15 of this thread). Since they are scenery objects, their absence should not affect route or session operation... but I think it is better having them anyway, just to be sure :D.

The route dependencies are all contained in the four custom content packs, or are available at the DLS. The only exception are Neoklai's animated people, since we have been unable to contact him to ask permission for including them in the custom content packs.

Session dependencies are all built-in in TS2010 (though this implied using a very limited selection of motive power and rolling stock), apart from a few assets that must be downloaded from the DLS.

Carlo,
Yes, it was the batch of 370528 KUIDs that were missing; I had overlooked that post in the thread.
Now all is okay with the route and it does not appear in the CM.

However, the Session still appears and has the following warning:-
Error: Dependency <kuid:57230:100298> is unknown.
As you have pointed out, that KUID is the route itself!
The following are the first lines from the Config file for the Session and the KUID called up by the Session is that of the route.

kuid <kuid:69593:100421>
username "The Ballast Turn"
kind "profile"
description "You are in charge of train WCYGNB-22, the Ballast Turn. Take 27 empty hoppers to Granite Canyon Quarry, load them and return to Cheyenne Yard. Assigned power is two EMD SD40-2.

Pay attention to speed limits and signals.
Exceeding speed limits will decrease your score by 1 point per second.
Passing a signal at danger will immediately terminate the session.

Approximate session duration: 70-90 minutes (depending on traffic)"
map-kuid <kuid:57230:100298>
category-class "YP"
category-region "00;US"
category-era "1960s;2000s"
trainz-build 3.3

Any ideas as to why is it not being seen in Trainz' Session list??

Bruce

Does any one know where to get this dependency for the Ballast Turn Rotabile invisibile,<kuid:69593:2065> or these three kuids that I have missing from it
Unknown Location: <kuid:138607:90000>
Unknown Location: <kuid:69593:1064>
Unknown Location: <kuid:69593:1065> Cheers
