Session and Route layer files

Hi can anyone help please.

I have been creating a layout and have the following problem. Everything was going fine yesterday but today when I have gone in to edit the route most of the assets which were placed on the layout are not there. If I go into driver and it loads with all the missing assets there. How can I get this back into editing mode. I am running Trainz a new era SP4 Build 105766.

Those two points indicate to me that there is some confusion over the route layers and the session layers.

The first thing that I would do would be to perform a simple test that might solve the problem:

Load the Session into Surveyor (not just the Route). All the assets, including those that go missing, should be present.

Open the Layers tab in Surveyor - press the F6 key - to see what is there. Locate the session-layer and left click on its Eye icon to close the eye (it should normally be open). This will make everything that has been placed in the session-layer invisible. Do the assets that go missing disappear? Left click on the closed eye to open it and the assets should reappear.

If the above is the case then the assets that do not show when you are editing the Route are actually in the Session so when you are editing you must load the Session into Surveyor, not just the Route.
