Sen City Pelican Crossing

Hey peeps, I have recently installed the Sen City pelican crossing....and I can't get the lights to change correctly...

I tried using the AJS Traffic Controller, in the same way that you do to get AJS trafffic lights to control the traffic, but with no luck....the vehicles get stopped even on green and the lights refuse to change...

Is there any tutorials out there about setting up the Pelican Crossing so it works correctly??

Any help would be most gratefully recieved...cheers :)

If i remember correctly you connect the slave to the crossing as if it was a pedestrian crossing the road. It works the same as a level crossing. Dont have road spline points to close to the crossing.

Hi,

The instructions for my Pelican Crossing are here.....

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=25621&highlight=pelican+crossing

There was a suggestion of problems in TS 2009 which to be honest I never actually checked out. Going on the problems with ATLS and 2009 SP1 up, that may well be the case.
I'd better think about a Pelican update for 2009.

Anyway, try it in 09... and it definitely works up to 2006, (and probably TC).

The original instructions are pre-ATLS so they use an AJS Controller to operate the crossing but you could also use an ATLS Traffic Slave, (from an ATLS Controller) if you prefer.

EDIT -
I've just tried the 5Mtr version in TS 2009 SP2 and it works fine. I don't see any reason why the 9Mtr shouldn't work also, (just beware the deliberate mistake on the 9 Mtr! - see Instruction Link above).
Also, another way to control it without a Controller..... There are a couple of 'walking people' on the DLS that are actually trains. You could get them to 'walk' on invisible track connected to the crossing.... and they should activate the Pelican when they get close too it!
