see through trees

g'day all,
i'm having an issue with see trough trees in 012

open gl directx is worse
my specs
amd athlon 64x2 duelcore 4200+ 2.20ghz
8gb ram
nvidia gt 550 ti

i'm kind of thinking my monitor might not not be up to scratch
maxed out at 1440x900,
or it could be some thing else,maybe graphic card,not enough cpu,i don't know
trees are not faulty and are up to minium build number
it's bloody annoying,hope this is enough info
any sort of feedback will be most greatful

You can rule that out mate, you monitor is not at fault.

What is the name / KUID no of the problem treez? I'll check them on my rig.

it's many trees
a list as long as my arm
all these for starters,aussie gums

I checked them out - this is an old problem, things have moved on since those asserts were created, nothing you can do but use more modern assets. Check out Authors "Mcguirel" and "Jankvis" (on the DLS) or "Pofig" - check the forums for his website.

Hi Patchy,

Unfortunately the answer to that is "yes" . If you have downloaded pgibbons' North Coast routes you will find the same issues :'(. This then presents the problem of finding similar trees to match the ones you want to replace . The creators Itareus refers to have some very good ones but trying to match individual trees or groups has its own difficulties :wave:

i'm doing it now
not to hard with the replace asset tool
i just got go over the whole route now to get trees of track,roads,etc
anyhow it's keeping me of the streets
